Our most frequently asked questions about heating and air services.

We will engage a maintenance contract on a system we did not install. However, we must first do an inspection of the system.

Ideally, your system should be serviced twice a year. Maintain air flow by keeping dust, dirt, and debris away from any system. Keep air filters clean, heat exchangers and coils free of restrictions. 

SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio – it measures your HVAC systems efficiency. The higher the SEER rating, the greater the energy efficiency of the system. 

An important HVAC safety measure is to make sure your home consists of working fire and carbon monoxide detectors. 

Resetting the thermostat when you are sleeping or away from home can save on energy bills. By adjusting the thermostat four-to-six degrees either up or down reduces the total time the system is running.

I tried a lot of HVAC companies before I found one that would work with our old high-velocity a/c. Quality consulted with manufacturer to make sure the load was balanced and runs should work (high-velocity can be finicky) and we are very happy with the result. Also diagnosed a warranty issue with a new furnace installed by another HVAC company and told us to get them to do the service without charging us. Then later found that the original company had installed the flue incorrectly, confirmed the issue with the manufacturer, and fixed the problem. I have looked for a long time for a reliable HVAC company and been disappointed by everyone before I found Quality Air.
